Create an Advertisement

Advertisements are a great way to partner with another organization. Whether this is for financial gain or partner promotion, an advertisement in Informz is a great tool to use to help develop your organization's business relationships.

The really nice thing about advertisements in Informz is that that reports will show the clicks each advertisement across multiple mailings. This makes it very easy to report on engagement.

Getting Ready

Before you begin your work in Informz, it's best if you have your advertisement image created. Some things to take into consideration:

  • Identify which advanced template you plan to attach your advertisement to (advertisements cannot be used with a standard template)
  • Ensure that the dimensions of the image are appropriate for the location in your template. For example, if you are planning on displaying the advertisement in a right sidebar with a fixed width of 100 pixels, your advertisement should not be any wider than 100 pixels.
  • Understand if your image already has padding incorporated into its design or if the template's HTML needs to have padding
  • Make sure that the file size does not exceed 500KB and that its name does not have any spaces or special characters
  • Use only GIF, PNG, or JPG file types
  • Know what URL you want the clicked image to redirect to
  • Decide what folder you plan to store this image in

With these considerations accounted for, you are on your way to a successful ad campaign!
